Consulate General of the Netherlands in San Francisco, United States

E-Mobility Partners for International Business agreement signed

On Friday, October 5, AgentschapNL signed the first E-Mobility Partners for International Business (PIB) agreement on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation together with the Consul General Bart van Bolhuis. The agreement is signed with the "Electrifying Holland - West Coast!" cluster and focuses entirely on sustainable e-mobility solutions.

Partners for International Business

The new instrument "Partners for International Business" facilitates cooperation between the Dutch government, universities, local authorities and private parties. The "Electrifying Holland - West Coast!" cluster aims to exchange knowledge and experience with American counterparts and create opportunities for the participating Dutch partners in the United States and vice versa.

E-mobility in the U.S. and Canada

The cluster focuses on the United States and Canada, the largest investors in e-mobility solutions worldwide. The west coast of the United States, especially, is leading the way, for example the state of California aims to have 1 to 2 million electric cars on the road by 2020. Through this program, at least 5 projects will be developed, engaging the most relevant partners to participate in each project.

Participating companies

The agreement was signed by a group of Dutch companies, knowledge institutes and government agencies: APPM, Brabant Development Agency, DLL / Athlon Car Lease, Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands School of Public Administration (NSOB), Proov Unplugged E-Mobility, Province of North Holland, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Tacstone and Wageningen University & Research Center.

To implement and advance the program, a representative of the Province of North Holland will be posted at the Consulate General in San Francisco.
